Porcelán Star Glas odolá nejen mikrovlnkám a myčkám, ale i poněkud hrubšímu zacházení. Tento typ porcelánu je extrémně tvrdý a odolný. Na rozdíl od jemného kostního porcelánu, který se vypaluje při teplotách kolem 900 °C, je tvrdý porcelán Star Glas při konečné fázi vypalován při teplotách mezi 1350 - 1400 °C.
